The role currently available is a Food Runner position that plays a vital part in the guest service experience at the resort. This position involves transporting food items from the kitchen to the pool areas and ensuring that guests receive their meals courteously and efficiently, following the established service steps prescribed by management. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and organization at the worksite, adherence to OSHA safety regulations, and compliance with Department of Health food handling standards.

Key responsibilities also include managing supply requisitions, organizing and storing products appropriately, and ensuring all food items are correctly labeled and rotated to maintain freshness. The Food Runner will need to be well-versed in the current menu items and presentation techniques to assist in finalizing orders before they reach guests.

In addition to food service duties, the position demands performing routine cleaning tasks to uphold health and safety standards within the work environment. The employee will be responsible for keeping floors dry and safe to prevent slip and fall accidents and carrying out other tasks as directed by the manager.

Physical demands of this position involve frequent walking, standing, crouching, bending, stooping, reaching, grasping, pushing, and pulling. The ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly is also required. The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, necessitating strong organizational skills, the ability to perform under pressure with professionalism, and excellent decision-making capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette, along with the ability to communicate fluently in English to interact effectively with staff and guests. Job Duties

  • Transports food items from the kitchen to the pool and serves the items ordered to guests following proper steps of service
  • maintains a clean, organized, and safe workspace by following restaurant, OSHA, and Department of Health standards
  • fills out and delivers requisitions of supplies and food items for the expediter
  • picks up requisitions from Purchasing and stores products in designated areas
  • labels all products and rotates items to ensure freshness
  • maintains up to date knowledge of menu items and final presentation steps
  • performs general routine cleaning tasks using hotel cleaning products
  • keeps floors dry and clean to avoid slip/fall accidents
  • performs other duties as requested by manager
