Job Description

The club is currently seeking a dependable, energetic, and detail-oriented Food Runner / Expo to join its team. This full-time role is essential in supporting both the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth and efficient food service. The Food Runner / Expo acts as a critical link between the kitchen and service teams, guaranteeing that meals are delivered promptly, correctly, and with presentation that aligns with the club's high standards. This position requires a strong sense of urgency, accuracy, and excellent communication skills to maintain the elevated service quality expected in a private club environment.

The Food Runner / Expo will be responsible for preparing plates in accordance with ticket specifications, garnishing dishes to enhance presentation, and delivering food to members and guests while announcing each dish clearly and professionally. Additionally, this role supports servers by clearing and resetting tables as needed and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the expo line and service areas. The position demands the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, particularly during busy periods and special club events, requiring flexibility in working evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Duties

  • Act as the liaison between kitchen and service staff

  • Announce dishes clearly and professionally at the table
  • Assist servers with clearing and resetting tables as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of expo line and service areas
  • Communicate effectively with chefs, servers, and management regarding timing and special requests
  • Support smooth service flow during high-volume periods and special club events
