Departure is one of America’s hottest Asian restaurants, uniquely situated atop the landmark Meier & Frank Building in Portland, Oregon. It is celebrated for its ambitious menu that captivates diners with a masterful remix of authentic coastal cuisines. The restaurant offers a diverse range of dishes, from street food-styled starters to meal-sized classics, rice and noodle specialties, and market-fresh sushi. Departure is dedicated to embracing the bounty of the Pacific Northwest and ensuring that the freshest ingredients bring the fiery flavors of the Far East to life. As part of the Sage Restaurant Concept, Departure is located within a collection of independently operated restaurants and lounges that complement hotels in prime locations. These establishments focus on providing highly designed, innovative, and locally focused food and beverage experiences that connect deeply with the communities they serve. Portland itself is a booming food city, known for its year-round farmers' markets and a strong culture of artisans crafting some of the most delicious goods in America.

Physical stamina and attention to detail are crucial for this role, as the Food Runner will be expected to carry trays and equipment, sometimes weighing up to 50 pounds, while navigating a bustling dining environment. Excellent communication skills are required to effectively interact with guests, co-workers, and management. Departure offers a supportive work environment with opportunities to collaborate across departments to achieve outstanding performance.
