Job Description
Chili's is a renowned casual dining restaurant chain that originated in Dallas, Texas in 1975. Over the decades, it has earned a prominent place in the American dining scene by offering a memorable menu including Big Mouth burgers, house smoked ribs, full-on fajitas, and hand-shaken margaritas. Beyond its flavorful food, Chili's prides itself on its deep-rooted culture of hospitality, excellent service, and community involvement. The brand is dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere where every Guest feels valued and enjoys a unique dining experience. Chili's commitment to quality extends not only to its menu but also to the way it treats its Guests and Team Members, fostering a supportive and engaging work environment that encourages growth and teamwork.
The Food Runner position at Chili's plays a vital role in elevating the Guest experience by bridging the kitchen and the dining area. This role is ideal for passionate individuals who love food and hospitality and wish to grow their career in the restaurant industry. Chili's offers a fast hiring process and flexible scheduling options for part-time or full-time work, making it accessible for various lifestyles and commitments. Food Runners are tasked with ensuring that the dining experience runs smoothly by promptly delivering food to tables, pre-bussing empty dishes and glassware to maintain cleanliness, and partnering with servers and other Team Members to satisfy Guests' needs.
The role demands enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and the ability to act quickly in a fast-paced environment. Employees who excel in this position are often considered for advancement to server roles, supporting Chili's culture of promoting from within. As a Food Runner, your personality matters — it's important to engage with Guests, make them feel special, and contribute to the fun and friendly team atmosphere. The position occasionally requires availability on weekends, weekdays, and holidays to meet operational needs. Overall, this role is an excellent opportunity for those seeking career growth in a dynamic and customer-centric environment where their passion for food and hospitality will be recognized and rewarded.
