The Food Runner position within the Chop House Restaurant plays a vital role in enhancing the dining experience for guests. This role primarily involves setting up and carrying food trays, organizing plates, and delivering food promptly from the kitchen to the guests while ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction. The Food Runner assists servers, completes side work, and maintains cleanliness in the restaurant, adhering to the policies, practices, and procedures set by the department and Wind Creek Bethlehem. Emphasizing hospitality excellence, the Food Runner must be adept at explaining menu items and providing superior customer service while performing tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume fine dining environment.
This is a full-time position requiring punctuality, proper uniform adherence, and strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members. The role demands physical stamina to withstand prolonged standing and carrying food trays, as well as the ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Job Requirements
- 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States
- high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
- interpersonal skills focused on guest needs
- professional and neat appearance
- adherence to customer service standards
- ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- physical ability to stand, bend, kneel, and carry up to 50 pounds
- ability to work in fast-paced environments
- ability to qualify for and obtain Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board license if required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year previous work experience in a fine-dining or high-volume food and beverage establishment preferred
- basic food and service knowledge
