Job Description

Marriott International is a leading global hospitality company known for delivering exceptional guest experiences in a wide range of hotel brands. Among its distinguished portfolio is JW Marriott, a luxury brand that boasts more than 100 properties in iconic gateway cities and stunning resort locations worldwide. Marriott is dedicated to fostering a culture where associates thrive, emphasizing the importance of hospitality, innovation, and community. By joining Marriott International, team members become part of a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, known for its commitment to quality, employee well-being, and diversity. Marriott’s commitment to inclusion and non-discrimination ensures that every associate is valued and celebrated regardless of background, disability, or veteran status.

The role of the Guest Service Support Expert at JW Marriott is crucial to creating memorable and unique guest experiences that go beyond just food and beverage service. This position is not simply about serving meals or drinks, but about contributing to an entire hospitality experience that guests will remember positively. The Guest Service Support Expert ensures smooth food and beverage operations by assisting in a variety of tasks such as setting tables, supporting kitchen staff, maintaining cleanliness in work areas, and replenishing supplies. This role requires a proactive approach and hands-on work, including moving, lifting, and carrying objects up to 50 pounds with assistance, and the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, sometimes on uneven or slippery surfaces.

Performance in this role demands adherence to company policies and procedures, safety standards, and professional grooming and communication. The position is designed to support a collaborative and dynamic food and beverage environment, ensuring that all guests receive outstanding service and that all operations are seamless and efficient. Although prior supervisory experience is not required, candidates are preferred to have a high school diploma or GED and some familiarity or experience in the food and beverage sector.

Employment with Marriott International offers a range of comprehensive benefits tailored to enhance the lives of its associates. Full-time employees have access to medical, dental, vision, and flexible spending accounts for health care and dependent care. Additionally, life insurance, disability insurance, accident insurance, paid parental leave, adoption expense reimbursements, and educational assistance programs are available. Washington-based employees also enjoy paid sick leave accrual, paid time off, and eligibility for at least seven holidays annually.

The Marriott Hotels division, including JW Marriott, prides itself on elevating hospitality through thoughtful and innovative service. Associates here help uphold a legacy of wonderful hospitality and have the opportunity to belong to a supportive global community. JW Marriott distinctively supports the holistic well-being of its associates by providing numerous opportunities for career development, recognition, and the ability to pursue personal passions within a luxury environment. Joining JW Marriott means joining a company dedicated to the happiness and success of both its guests and its employees, making it a rewarding workplace where you can truly become the best version of yourself.
