Noii Sushi, located in Kirkland, is a contemporary Japanese restaurant scheduled to open in Fall 2025. At Noii Sushi, tradition is elevated with a modern flair, offering a unique culinary experience where authentic Japanese craftsmanship blends seamlessly with innovative and creative techniques. We are currently looking for a motivated and energetic Food Runner to join our opening team in a part-time capacity. Reporting to the Floor Manager and General Manager, this role is critical in bridging the kitchen and the dining area, ensuring that all food orders are delivered promptly, accurately, and with a warm presence that reflects the restaurant’s core values of hospitality. The Food Runner acts as an essential support figure within the front-of-house team, facilitating smooth communication and service flow to guarantee each guest enjoys a flawless dining experience. This position requires someone efficient, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about contributing to a positive team environment. Working with Noii Sushi will offer the chance to be part of an innovative restaurant launch, where creativity and dedication converge to set new standards in the local food scene. The hourly rate for this position is $17.13 plus tips, offering a competitive wage for part-time work in the hospitality sector.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays weighing up to 25 pounds
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a food runner, server assistant, or similar role preferred but not required
- Ability to carry trays and navigate a busy dining room with ease
- Strong communication, multitasking, and teamwork skills
- Friendly, positive demeanor with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Food handler’s certification or ability to obtain prior to start
Job Duties
- Deliver food orders promptly and accurately from the kitchen to guest tables
- Present dishes with knowledge of ingredients when appropriate, elevating the guest experience
- Assist servers by clearing plates, resetting tables, and refilling beverages
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and dining areas
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and FOH teams to ensure smooth service flow
- Support team members during peak hours to maintain exceptional service standards
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols
