The Front-of-House (FOH) team at Shakey's plays a crucial role in creating this enjoyable environment. FOH team members are responsible for taking orders, serving food, and providing outstanding hospitality that embodies the unique Shakey's experience. This position is ideal for individuals who are personable, enthusiastic, and enjoy interacting with guests to enhance their dining experience. FOH team members work in various stations including cashier, food runner, busser, and game room attendant. New hires receive thorough training to master one FOH station initially and are encouraged to learn multiple roles to develop additional skills. Gaining expertise across different stations can lead to increased work hours and lays the groundwork for advancement into store management roles.

Working in FOH at Shakey's means embracing teamwork, flexibility, and customer-focused service. Team members continually monitor guest needs, ensure cleanliness and organization of the dining and game areas, and uphold safety and sanitation standards. They handle tasks such as entering orders into the point-of-sale system, processing payments accurately, maintaining prize displays in the game room, pre-bussing tables, and executing opening and closing procedures for their stations. Additionally, FOH staff support both front and back of house operations to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic math aptitude for handling transactions
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customer service or restaurant environment preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Basic knowledge of point-of-sale systems
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Job Duties

  • Take customer food orders, enter into the point-of-sale terminal and accurately process payments
  • Provide outstanding hospitality and service to guests to deliver the Shakey's experience
  • Continually monitor tables for guest needs and customer service opportunities
  • Set up game room prize displays/counters and maintain an organized, clean appearance
  • Pre-bus tables regularly during and after the guest visit
  • Wipe down and clean chairs, booths and highchairs, as needed
  • Monitor all FOH areas, restrooms and parking lot, for maintenance, as required
  • Sweep, vacuum and mop FOH areas
  • Check restrooms for cleanliness and supplies
  • Perform opening and closing procedures for the assigned FOH station
  • Assist other BOH and FOH stations
  • All other duties, as assigned
