Job Description

Ruth's Chris Steak House is a premier steakhouse chain renowned for its commitment to delivering a superior dining experience through exquisite cuisine and impeccable service. With locations across the country, Ruth's Chris is dedicated to maintaining a high standard of excellence that reflects in every aspect of the guest experience, from ambiance to food quality and attentive staff. As a respected leader in the restaurant industry, Ruth's Chris Steak House has built a strong reputation for serving the finest USDA Prime steaks, carefully prepared and served sizzling hot to the satisfaction of its discerning customers. The company places great emphasis on teamwork, professionalism, and a guest-first approach that ensures each visit is memorable and satisfying.

The Front of House (FOH) team at Ruth's Chris Steak House plays a critical role in upholding these standards. FOH positions include a variety of roles such as servers, hosts, and food runners, all of which demand a blend of customer service skills, attention to detail, and operational knowledge. Employees in these positions are expected to maintain a neat appearance by adhering to uniform policies and practicing positive personal hygiene throughout their shifts. They must show up on time as scheduled and demonstrate a willingness to collaborate with team members to provide seamless service to guests.

This role requires individuals to take responsibility for their assigned station, ensuring that it is fully stocked, organized, and maintained according to established protocols. Team members should be knowledgeable of the restaurant's standards and procedures as outlined in the employee training packet, which includes specific guidelines on food presentation, garnishing, and the timely delivery of orders. Maintaining clear communication with the kitchen staff and management is essential, especially when addressing any guest concerns or dissatisfaction. Night, weekend, and holiday shifts are part of the employment terms, reflecting the restaurant’s busy operation schedule.

FOH employees at Ruth's Chris Steak House are more than just servers or support staff; they act as ambassadors of the brand, creating an inviting environment that enhances the overall guest experience. The role demands a proactive approach to teamwork, a focus on quality in every task performed, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently—from preparing stations and reading order tickets to delivering hot, perfectly garnished entrees promptly. Employees are also expected to assist with opening and closing duties, contributing to the smooth operation of the restaurant.

Employment at Ruth's Chris Steak House is available on both a full-time and part-time basis, providing flexibility for a range of schedules. Compensation includes tips, recognizing the importance of customer satisfaction in rewarding performance. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and employee discounts, supporting the well-being and financial security of the staff. This comprehensive benefits package and the dynamic work environment attract motivated individuals passionate about hospitality and guest service.
