These values are deeply rooted in every aspect of the organization's operations and are a key reason behind its success and reputation in the industry. With a focus on creating a fun, inclusive work environment, Pacific Catch is dedicated to offering its team members unique opportunities for both personal and professional growth. Employees at Pacific Catch enjoy a culture where they feel valued, cared for, and motivated to contribute their best to the team and guest satisfaction.
The role of Food Runner at Pacific Catch is a vital part of the restaurant operations and plays an essential role in delivering first-class service and incredible hospitality to guests. This part-time position is hourly and non-exempt, with a competitive pay rate of $19.18 per hour. Food Runners are expected to work flexible schedules that may vary weekly, including availability on weekends, as consistency in service quality is crucial across all operating hours. The Food Runner's primary responsibility is to ensure that food and beverages are delivered accurately and promptly to the correct tables, maintaining the highest standards of guest service. Coordination with servers and kitchen staff is important to verify order accuracy and address any issues efficiently.
Beyond just running food, this role requires a detailed knowledge of the menu, including the ingredients and components of all food and beverage items. This expertise allows Food Runners to inform guests and provide excellent assistance when questions arise. The position also involves maintaining cleanliness and organization of serving implements, utensils, glassware, and condiments, guaranteeing a seamless dining experience for guests.
Food Runners are encouraged to be proactive during slower periods by supporting other team members or assisting with tasks such as restocking server stations and to-go supplies. Due attention is given to handling all restaurant equipment with care to minimize breakage and uphold the standards of the establishment. Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds are necessary to meet the demands of the role.
Working at Pacific Catch means joining a team that believes the strength of the business lies firmly in the quality and dedication of its people. The Food Runner position offers a meaningful opportunity to be part of an engaged community where teamwork and exceptional service are paramount. This role is perfect for individuals who are enthusiastic about hospitality, enjoy dynamic work environments, and want to grow within the restaurant industry.
