The role of a Food Runner at Marcus Theatres is a pivotal position within the service team, designed for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and enjoy creating an exceptional dining experience for guests. As a Food Runner, you will be responsible for assisting servers and kitchen staff by ensuring that food arrives promptly and in perfect condition to patrons. This role acts as the connective tissue between the kitchen, servers, and guests, ensuring smooth communication and customer satisfaction. The Food Runner must be proactive and detail-oriented, taking care of garnishing dishes, assembling trays, maintaining workstation cleanliness, and helping with bussing duties when necessary. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Set up all garnishes for dishes
- assemble trays and stock bread
- Polish silverware
- Responsible for set-up and break-down of station at the beginning and end of shift
- Assist with special guest requests to ensure total guest satisfaction
- Communicate with servers and kitchen associates to ensure total guest satisfaction
- Serve food to tables if needed
- Assist with bussing duties if needed
- Remove all dirty dishes from kitchen and/or server areas
- Maintain standard of plate presentation
- Maintain condition and cleanliness of work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
