Job Description

Cherokee Town and Country Club, established in 1956, is a prestigious private club with a rich history and an outstanding reputation for excellence. Situated in the Atlanta metropolitan area, the club boasts two premier locations: the Town Club at the iconic Grant Estate in Buckhead and the Country Club near the scenic Chattahoochee River in Sandy Springs, GA. Renowned for its exceptional facilities, fine dining experiences, and impeccable member service, Cherokee Town and Country Club has earned numerous honors and awards, underscoring its commitment to quality and member satisfaction. This prestigious establishment operates with a core philosophy centered around positivity and a proactive approach to service, embodied in what is known internally as the "Cherokee Standard." The club fosters a welcoming and professional environment, striving to maintain high standards that reflect its dedication to excellence and the happiness of its members.

The Club is currently seeking to hire a Part-Time Food Runner for its Sandy Springs location. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a flexible part-time position that emphasizes customer service and teamwork, providing a dynamic work environment with competitive hourly wages starting at $16.50, and the potential to earn up to $18.50 per hour based on open availability and experience. In addition to the competitive pay, employees enjoy perks such as free meals while on duty, free parking, work uniforms, employee golf on most Mondays, employee recognition events, appreciation events, and a MARTA discount. The position is ideal for motivated individuals with a strong work ethic who are able to collaborate effectively with the serving team to ensure orders are delivered accurately and promptly, enhancing the overall dining experience for club members and their guests.

As a Food Runner, you play a vital role in supporting servers by delivering food orders quickly and correctly, while maintaining the highest standards of service and presentation. You will interact closely with both kitchen and front-of-house staff, ensuring meals are transported safely and efficiently. Beyond food delivery, your responsibilities include managing the setup and breakdown of tables, replenishing condiment stations, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in your work area. You will be responsible for filling and draining soup wells at the start and end of shifts, restocking tableware like soup bowls, cups, and spoons, and ensuring serving trays are presentable and linen is changed as needed. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate and respond to member requests proactively. The ideal candidate will be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods, demonstrate professionalism in appearance and behavior, and be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and most holidays. The Food Runner position is not only essential for smooth restaurant operations but also an excellent entry point for a rewarding career in hospitality with one of Atlanta’s most respected private clubs.
