Job Requirements
- Be able to effectively communicate
- Be able to follow directions with focus to detail
- Be able to work under minimal supervision
- Be able to fulfill physical requirements of the job: carry heavy trays and furniture from time to time (30lb)
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in high volume, upscale restaurant or hotel
- Food Handler’s Card
- RBS Certificate
Job Duties
- Obtain service area assignments at the beginning of each shift
- Run food from the kitchen and deliver food to guest’s tables in timely manner
- Assist with preparing appetizers and assist sous chefs with other food prep
- Promptly greet guests as they are seated and bring crudité, water and bread to the tables
- Clear table after guests leave, take tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing
- Between seatings, promptly clean table tops, chairs and booths
- check floor and clean as required
- reset and arrange tabletop
- Respond immediately and appropriately to guest requests
- communicate these requests to server immediately
- Communicate with server, host and Maitre’ D to assure efficient seating, table utilization and guest service
- Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with larger parties and peak periods
- Thank guests as they are leaving
- Maintain a high level of personal cleanliness and immaculate uniform presentation
- Be a team player
- help out fellow staff whenever possible
