The position of Food Runner plays a critical role in the overall Guest experience at Ruth's Chris Steak House. Food Runners are responsible for delivering an impeccably timed, beautifully presented meal from the kitchen to the table, ensuring that every dish meets the restaurant's high standards for preparation and presentation. This role requires close collaboration with servers and kitchen staff to guarantee smooth service flow and a memorable visit for each Guest. Compensation for Food Runners may vary by location, and in addition to an hourly wage, tips further enhance total earnings. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to carry trays of food and beverages
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Legal authorization to work in the country

Job Duties
- Ensure each plate is perfectly prepared by tracking cooking times on all orders, checking finished product for proper degree of doneness, appearance, and plate presentation
- Deliver food to the correct table, guaranteeing every Guest receives exactly what they have ordered, just the way they like it
- Support the Server as needed to optimize the Guest's dining experience
- Demonstrate a guest first mindset, placing a high priority on the Guest experience
