The Food Runner position at Thirsty Turtle Seagrill plays a crucial role in the guest dining experience by supporting servers and bartenders. This hourly, non-exempt role reports directly to the General Manager or Manager and entails running food items efficiently from the expo window to the correct tables. While it may be considered an entry-level position in some locations, prior experience or familiarity with food service enhances job performance due to the importance of timing and accuracy in delivering meals. Job Duties

  • Run food from the expo window
  • assist in preparing food to leave the expo window as necessary
  • assist in maintaining supplies such as specialty flatware, garnish items, and sauces
  • maintain cleanliness of the expo window and surrounding area according to health standards
  • complete assigned sidework and other duties
  • carry food items to tables
  • ask guests if they need anything upon delivering food
  • report safety concerns to management
  • alert manager of customer issues
  • inspect restrooms and report cleanliness issues
