Job Description
Thirsty Turtle Seagrill is a renowned seafood restaurant known for its fresh seafood offerings, award-winning wings, and vibrant atmosphere. The establishment prioritizes delivering an exceptional dining experience through high-quality food and outstanding service. Located in a busy and lively environment, Thirsty Turtle Seagrill attracts a diverse clientele who appreciate the combination of great food, live music events, and a fun social setting. As a part-time employer, the restaurant offers flexible scheduling, competitive wages, and opportunities for employees to advance within the company, supporting a positive work culture and team collaboration.
The Food Runner position at Thirsty Turtle Seagrill plays a crucial role in the guest dining experience by supporting servers and bartenders. This hourly, non-exempt role reports directly to the General Manager or Manager and entails running food items efficiently from the expo window to the correct tables. While it may be considered an entry-level position in some locations, prior experience or familiarity with food service enhances job performance due to the importance of timing and accuracy in delivering meals. The ideal candidate is a dependable team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work swiftly in a dynamic restaurant environment. Responsibilities extend beyond simply delivering food; the Food Runner assists in preparing food for service, maintaining adequate supplies throughout shifts, and ensuring cleanliness and health standards around the expo window.
Candidates for this position should demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, handle stressful situations with sound judgment, and exhibit professional demeanor and attitude consistent with company policies. Due to the physical nature of the job, applicants must be capable of repetitive physical activities including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods, as well as operating safely within a busy kitchen space. Flexibility in scheduling, especially during high traffic seasons and events, is important to meet business needs. This role also requires certification such as a valid Food Handler's permit and a valid driver's license for commuting to work.
Thirsty Turtle Seagrill welcomes individuals eager to contribute to a fast-paced, lively restaurant environment where teamwork and commitment to guest satisfaction are paramount. The restaurant fosters opportunities for growth and encourages enthusiastic participation in company events and community activities, making employment here both professionally rewarding and socially engaging. Join the team to be part of a restaurant that values dedication, quality service, and a shared passion for delicious food and memorable guest experiences.
