Job Description
Our establishment is a vibrant and dynamic restaurant known for its commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. We specialize in providing high-quality meals in a lively and welcoming atmosphere, where the satisfaction of our guests is the highest priority. As a pivotal part of our front-of-house team, we pride ourselves on seamless coordination between the kitchen and our guests to ensure every dish served meets our exacting standards. This coordinated approach reflects our dedication to culinary excellence and attentive customer service, positioning us as a favorite dining destination in the community.
The role of the runner/expo is integral to the success of our operation. As the lynchpin between the kitchen and the guests, the runner/expo is responsible for ensuring that the flow of food from the kitchen to the dining area is smooth, timely, and accurate. This position requires quick thinking and the ability to stay constantly in motion to meet the demands of a busy dining service. Beyond just delivering food, the runner/expo must communicate effectively with both the kitchen and the guest, describing dishes clearly and handling any requests or concerns that may arise. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys engaging with others, and takes pride in providing a high level of service.
In this position, you will be reading tickets carefully to ensure all items are correctly prepared and finished before running them to the guests or delegating to a team member when necessary. Your role involves more than just running food; you are the face of the kitchen to the guest, so your interaction must be friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. You will assist servers during less busy periods, maintaining a clean and organized station that is fully stocked with everything needed by both the back of house (BOH) and front of house (FOH). This combination of responsibilities demands a versatile individual who is both physically active and customer service-oriented, contributing directly to the overall dining experience.
