Job Description

Aramark is a globally recognized leader in food services and facilities management, operating across 15 countries and serving millions of customers daily. With a strong commitment to service excellence and community impact, Aramark prioritizes creating a supportive and inclusive work environment that encourages employee growth, professional development, and a sense of belonging. As a company rooted in a culture of service, Aramark continually strives to foster careers that help cultivate talent, ignite passions, and open pathways for career advancement in various sectors including food service, facilities, and hospitality.

The Food Runner position at Aramark plays an essential role within the kitchen team, working closely with management to ensure seamless kitchen operations. This position is instrumental in assisting with meal and food preparation, managing cash transactions, and maintaining accurate records of meal production. The Food Runner ensures that meals are prepared and served promptly while upholding high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation. Daily responsibilities include preparing high-quality meals and baked goods according to the menu, verifying and documenting daily transactions, and coordinating meal components to meet quality and quantity standards. This role also entails proper food storage to prevent contamination, maintaining clean and organized workspaces, and adherence to strict sanitation protocols.

Moreover, the Food Runner supports the kitchen by handling and maintaining cooking equipment with care, particularly sharp utensils, ensures timely food preparation, garnishes meals to enhance visual appeal, and assists with cleaning tasks such as dishwashing, sweeping, and maintaining refrigerators and freezers. The role demands strict compliance with the uniform policy and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary to ensure safety. The Food Runner collaborates closely with the kitchen manager to coordinate menu preparation, ensure temperature controls for food safety, and consistently contribute to a well-maintained, hygienic kitchen environment.

This position is physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand for extended periods, lift, bend, push, and pull as part of everyday tasks. The Food Runner must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Food service certification is required, and applicants are expected to have strong communication skills to follow verbal and written instructions effectively. While a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, it is not mandatory for this role. Working at Aramark offers opportunities for continuous training and development, including leadership workshops, skill-building sessions, and access to online learning platforms designed to support career growth. The company also offers flexible work options for certain roles, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive infrastructure aimed at helping employees realize their full potential.

Joining Aramark as a Food Runner means becoming part of a global team dedicated to service excellence and innovation in food service. Aramark is committed to nurturing its workforce by providing a rich environment for learning, growth, and meaningful contributions.
