Job Description
Tennessee National Golf Club is a prestigious and premier gated lakefront community located in Loudon, Tennessee, just minutes away from the vibrant city of Knoxville. Known for its exceptional lifestyle offerings, Tennessee National combines the allure of a beautiful, serene environment with access to state-of-the-art amenities. This community boasts a variety of luxurious features including a signature Greg Norman golf course, an upscale marina, multiple dining options with restaurants and bars, racquetball courts, an inviting swimming pool, a concert venue, and a spacious 2,500 square foot clubhouse. Members and guests also enjoy scenic hiking trails and a multitude of recreational opportunities. Tennessee National is celebrated not only for its lifestyle amenities but also for the warm, community-driven atmosphere that creates an ideal balance between leisure and active living.
We are currently looking to expand our Food and Beverage (F&B) team by hiring Food Runners who will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our members and guests. This role is part-time and offers hourly pay at $10 per hour plus tips. The position comes with a flexible work schedule that accommodates different lifestyles and prioritizes a healthy work-life balance within a positive team environment. Reporting directly to the Dining Room Manager, Food Runners are key liaisons between the kitchen staff and wait staff, ensuring that food orders are executed accurately, plated correctly, and delivered efficiently to dining tables.
As a Food Runner at Tennessee National Golf Club, you will ensure that all food orders are carefully checked for order accuracy and quality, that plate presentations meet our high standards, and that any food quality issues are immediately addressed by returning sub-standard items to the kitchen. You will be responsible for maintaining smooth communication with service staff regarding delivered or returned orders and keeping the workflow seamless by organizing and sequencing orders appropriately. A significant part of the role includes maintaining a clean and organized workstation, upholding safe work practices, and providing courteous and timely service to our guests. You will also be expected to check back with guests to ensure satisfaction, replenish items as needed, and contribute to a sanitized dining area for a superior customer experience.
This position requires excellent customer service skills, dependability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong communication skills, both oral and listening, are crucial as the role involves interaction with multiple members of the hospitality team and guests. Tennessee National Golf Club strives to foster a culture of respect, teamwork, and professionalism where each team member is valued and empowered to contribute to an outstanding hospitality atmosphere. Working conditions involve primarily indoor service with occasional outdoor exposure, and the role entails moderate physical activity, including carrying food trays, bending, standing for long periods, and occasionally lifting equipment up to 40 pounds. Overall, this is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy delivering quality service and want to be part of a distinguished golf club community with a commitment to excellence and member satisfaction.
