Job Description

Chili's Grill & Bar is a renowned casual dining restaurant chain founded in Dallas, Texas, in 1975. With decades of culinary heritage and a commitment to delivering an outstanding guest experience, Chili's has established itself as a favorite destination for lovers of vibrant flavors and a welcoming atmosphere. Famous for its signature Big Mouth burgers, house-smoked ribs, full-on fajitas, and hand-shaken margaritas, Chili's seamlessly blends quality food with a lively social environment. It prides itself on its legacy of exceptional service, warm hospitality, and a strong culture of giving back to the community. The restaurant creates an inviting space where friends and families come together to enjoy flavorful dishes, refreshing beverages, and spirited celebrations all year round.

The Food Runner role at Chili's is a dynamic and exciting position geared towards individuals passionate about food, beverages, and exceptional hospitality. The primary responsibility of a Food Runner is to create an exceptional dining experience for guests by efficiently and hospitably delivering food orders to tables while supporting the service team. Unlike traditional roles focused solely on delivering meals, this role emphasizes building connections with guests through personalized interactions and team collaboration, ensuring guests feel valued and well cared for throughout their visit. Food Runners at Chili's are often those looking to grow their career within the restaurant, starting at an entry-level position with numerous opportunities to advance quickly to server roles or other leadership positions.

This role offers flexible scheduling, accommodating both part-time and full-time candidates, which is ideal for students, individuals seeking supplemental income, or those looking for a flexible work environment. New hires benefit from a fast hiring process, and the company fosters a great team culture emphasizing fun, personality, and mutual support among coworkers. The Food Runner must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, think quickly on their feet, and maintain a positive attitude when engaging with guests and colleagues alike. Responsibilities include pre-bussing tables to keep the dining area clean and organized, partnering effectively with team members to enhance guest satisfaction, and being available to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.

For someone who thrives on hospitality and views great food and great service as inseparable, this role offers an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected brand with a proven track record of success. Chili's commitment to its employees' growth and development means you can start as a Food Runner and build a rewarding career in the hospitality industry, with ample training and mentorship along the way. This position is well suited for enthusiastic, people-oriented individuals who are eager to contribute to a vibrant and supportive restaurant environment while delivering memorable experiences to every guest served. Joining Chili's means becoming part of a legacy dedicated to quality food, genuine service, and a fun, energetic work atmosphere.
