The Food Runner position at Ruth's Chris Steak House is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in delivering an outstanding dining experience. The pay varies by location plus tips, reflecting the value placed on this essential role. Food Runners partner closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure that every dish reaches the table at the perfect time, beautifully presented and up to the restaurant’s high standards. This role is fast-paced and requires attention to detail, as well as a commitment to guest satisfaction. Food Runners track cooking times and monitor the appearance and doneness of dishes to ensure accuracy and quality. Beyond food delivery, Food Runners actively support servers to enhance guests' overall dining experience. This position is perfect for individuals who thrive in a team environment, have a keen eye for detail, and place a strong emphasis on providing excellent customer service. Job Requirements

  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to carry trays and deliver food safely

  • Legal authorization to work in the country

Job Duties

  • Ensure each plate is perfectly prepared by tracking cooking times on all orders, checking finished product for proper degree of doneness, appearance, and plate presentation
  • Deliver food to the correct table, guaranteeing every Guest receives exactly what they’ve ordered, just the way they like it
  • Support the Server as needed to optimize the Guest's dining experience
  • Demonstrate a Guest first mindset, placing a high priority on the Guest experience
