Job Description
Prime Hospitality Group (PHG), established in 2017, is a leading hospitality company that began its journey with five Ruth's Chris Steak House restaurants and has since expanded to become the largest franchise group of this prestigious global brand, operating twelve locations currently. Over the years, PHG has grown beyond just steak houses, venturing into additional food and beverage concepts as well as the hotel hospitality sector. This expansion marks the company as a versatile and dynamic player in the service-oriented hospitality industry. Driven by a team-first approach, PHG values and empowers its employees, inspiring them to excel both personally and professionally. By fostering a passionate and value-centered workplace culture, the company commits itself to delivering unparalleled hospitality experiences and outstanding customer service.
The role of Expo-Food Runner at Prime Hospitality Group is a vital position within the operational flow of the restaurant, particularly under the direction of the Sous Chef. This position is centered around ensuring seamless communication between the kitchen and the guests by promptly delivering food orders such as bread, salads, appetizers, entrees, desserts, and any other items requested by the guests. The position requires an individual with a demand for excellence in service and a passion for hospitality. The Expo-Food Runner is instrumental in assisting both the kitchen and service staff to maintain impeccable food quality, presentation, and timing, all of which are crucial for optimizing the guests' dining experience at Ruth's Chris Steak House and other PHG concepts.
Key responsibilities include garnishing dishes following the specific recipe guidelines to maintain consistency and immediate delivery to ensure food is served hot and sizzling, coordinating with kitchen stations to time the serving of hot and cold dishes accurately, setting up the service station with necessary equipment and smallwares, and maintaining cleanliness and readiness of trays and serving tools. Physical demands of the role include the ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, stand for extended periods, and work in environments with extreme temperatures and noise, underscoring the importance of stamina and resilience.
The position also demands excellent teamwork and communication skills, a keen attention to detail, problem-solving capabilities, and a commitment to safety and professionalism. The employee is expected to adhere to all safety guidelines, report any unsafe conditions, and complete assigned side work either in the front or back of the house. Working a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays is required to meet the operational needs of the hospitality business. PHG’s inclusive and equal opportunity employment policy ensures a welcoming environment for all applicants regardless of race, sex, religion, or other protected characteristics.
Joining Prime Hospitality Group as an Expo-Food Runner offers a unique opportunity to be part of a respected, growth-oriented hospitality company known for its quality and excellence. Candidates who join the team can expect to develop their skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment that prizes hospitality above all else. This role is perfect for those passionate about food service and delivering memorable guest experiences while working for a company that encourages growth, learning, and teamwork.
