Job Description

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is a prestigious luxury hotel brand renowned worldwide for its timeless glamour and exceptional service. Established at the dawn of the twentieth century with the debut of The St. Regis hotel in New York by John Jacob Astor IV, the brand has a rich heritage built on delivering bespoke and anticipatory service that caters to the unique preferences and needs of every guest. With over 50 luxury hotels and resorts located in the most sought-after addresses globally, St. Regis combines classic sophistication with modern sensibility, consistently providing guests with an exquisite experience like no other. The hallmark of the brand is the signature Butler Service, a personalized, attentive service that epitomizes the elegance and exclusivity St. Regis is celebrated for. As part of Marriott International, one of the world’s leading hospitality companies, St. Regis offers a robust platform for career growth, skills development, and professional fulfillment, all within a diverse and inclusive environment that values the unique backgrounds and talents of each associate.

The role involves completing comprehensive closing duties essential to the smooth operation and maintenance of the hotel’s service areas. Responsibilities include storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and workspaces, returning equipment to designated locations, locking refrigerators, restocking items, turning off lights, securing doors, and fulfilling the requirements of a daily cleaning checklist. This position also involves setting up, stocking, and maintaining work areas with a keen eye for cleanliness and order, including inspecting the presentation of china, glassware, and silver to ensure they meet the highest standards before use. Maintaining cleanliness throughout the workday is critical, with an emphasis on clean-as-you-go practices to support overall hygiene and operational efficiency.

Attention to safety and security is paramount, including strict adherence to company policies, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions promptly, and completing required safety training and certifications. The role demands professionalism in uniform and personal appearance, confidentiality regarding proprietary information, and protection of company assets. Exceptional guest service is emphasized, requiring the ability to welcome guests warmly, communicate clearly, and use appropriate telephone etiquette. Collaboration and teamwork are encouraged to achieve common goals and maintain a positive work environment. This position also demands physical flexibility, including the ability to stand, sit, or walk for long periods; move, lift, carry, or push objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and maneuver over various surfaces and stairs. The role offers opportunities for personal growth and contributing to the renowned guest experience that defines the St. Regis brand. The employment type typically aligns with hospitality industry standards, and salaries are competitive and commensurate with experience and location, consistent with Marriott International's commitment to employee welfare and development. Joining St. Regis means becoming part of an illustrious heritage brand where you can do your best work, begin your purpose, belong to an amazing global team, and become the best version of yourself.
