Job Requirements

  • Must provide a minimum of 1-year restaurant experience or equivalent training
  • Must be able to pass training exams in English with 90% or higher
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Transport food to service a party of 4 in a single trip
  • Work a variable and flexible schedule which may include nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Perform varied duties to ensure all aspects of food presentation according to standing operating procedure
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Perform calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Communicate with guest clearly, patiently, and courteously
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers
  • Promptly carry food from the kitchen to any table in the restaurant for an entire shift
  • Complete all side work
  • Comprehend and acquire appropriate items (garnishes, accompaniments, sauces and utensils) to complete a particular order for delivery
  • Refrain from smoking for the duration of the shift
  • Maintain and clean uniform
  • Maintain a well-groomed appearance that reflects brand standards
  • Respond patiently and courteously to the needs of guests
  • Open to constructive criticism
  • Foster positive working relationship with co-workers
  • Follow supervisor's instructions
  • Stand and/or walk for the duration of a shift
  • Safely navigate all areas of the restaurant
  • Meet personal schedule requirements
  • Transport food items from source to any guest table continually throughout a shift
  • Demonstrate accountability by thoroughly reading and understanding the information in the Maggiano's Little Italy teammate handbook
