Job Description
Ajulia Executive Search is a reputable recruitment firm specializing in placing top talent across diverse industries including manufacturing, finance, IT, legal, and pharmaceuticals. Known for its commitment to confidentiality and client satisfaction, Ajulia connects skilled professionals with leading companies seeking to enhance their workforce. Their client, a rapidly growing company in the food and beverage industry, is currently seeking a dedicated Food Quality Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis. This client is recognized for maintaining high standards in food safety and quality, providing an excellent workplace culture, and promoting career growth opportunities. The available role offers a competitive salary coupled with a comprehensive benefits package including medical insurance, dental insurance, and paid time off.
The Food Quality Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality assurance within the manufacturing process. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing crucial programs such as the Food Fraud Program and Plant Security/Vulnerability Programs, which safeguard the integrity of the food production environment. This role demands oversight of new customer setups, ensuring all internal documentation aligns perfectly with customer specifications to maintain compliance and satisfaction. Leadership is a key aspect of this position, involving hiring, training, and developing the Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure that daily operations run smoothly and effectively.
This supervisor will lead the execution of HACCP plans, guarantee proper documentation, and continually improve quality system SOPs to meet evolving industry standards. Regular review of SOPs, product specifications, and test results fall under this role, along with overseeing inspections throughout the production cycle to detect and resolve any noncompliance issues related to materials or finished products. The Food Quality Supervisor will also apply Total Quality Management tools to enhance analytical and reporting processes, coordinate product inspections and testing, and support both internal and external audits. Additionally, the role includes managing departmental budgets and ensuring full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local food safety regulations.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in food safety certifications such as HACCP, PCQI, and potentially SQF, who is looking to advance their career within a supportive and rapidly expanding company environment. The supervisor is expected not only to maintain but elevate quality standards, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the QA team. With a clear pathway for professional development and an encouraging workplace culture, this career opportunity invites motivated candidates ready to make a significant impact in the food safety and quality domain.
