Their commitment to employee growth and development is reflected in their excellent growth and advancement opportunities, ensuring that this role not only serves as a job but a career progression pathway.
The Food Safety Quality Assurance Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining and elevating the quality standards for food production. Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the quality assurance team, this individual ensures strict adherence to national and international food safety standards. Their knowledge must be comprehensive, covering FDA regulations, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and HACCP principles, enabling them to manage complex quality and safety programs like the Food Fraud Program and Plant Security/Vulnerability Programs. The manager will provide critical leadership and direction in executing HACCP plans, conducting quality audits, and improving quality system SOPs, thereby guaranteeing compliance with Federal, State, and Local food safety regulations.
In addition to regulatory compliance, the manager will take charge of crucial quality control activities, reviewing test results, scheduling product inspections, and providing oversight throughout the product’s production cycle. The role demands exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, as the manager is also responsible for hiring and developing their team members, managing budgeting, and working collaboratively to resolve noncompliance issues related to materials or final products. The position's full scope includes supporting all internal and external audits and applying total quality management tools to continuously improve processes and analytical reporting.
This opportunity is ideal for a highly experienced food manufacturing professional with a background in science and certifications such as SQF Practitioner, HACCP, and Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI). Applicants who are results-driven and passionate about food safety and quality assurance will find this role both challenging and rewarding, backed by a supportive and professional working environment with immediate hire possibilities.
