Job Requirements
- must be at least 18 years of age
- minimum of one year of food preparation or related experience preferred
- prior supervisory experience preferred
- experience working with incarcerated individuals is a plus
- ability to obtain a food safety certification
- must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance
- ability to follow basic safety procedures and policies
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Job Qualifications
- must be at least 18 years of age

Job Duties
- conform to aramark guidelines for food preparation and production
- review and approve production and temperature documentation
- supervise inmates during food preparation and tray assembly
- ensure meals are served in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with aramark standards
- participate in meal preparation and service
- distribute cooking guidelines while ensuring proper portions and accommodation of dietary restrictions
- maintain a hazard-free environment by safely storing and organizing all food items
- follow security procedures and ensure storage areas remain locked at all times
- ensure all kitchen tools, equipment, and keys are returned to designated secure locations
- create and oversee work and sanitation schedules for food service staff, inmates, and cafeteria personnel
- evaluate team performance to promote teamwork, efficiency, and professional growth
- support inventory management and ensure proper receiving and storage of food and related items
- process requisitions as needed and maintain accurate inventory records
- maintain maintenance logs and support upkeep of kitchen equipment
- follow haccp procedures to ensure safe food handling and storage
- ensure food safety and temperature logs are accurately completed and corrective actions are taken when required
- participate in meal preparation, storage, and assembly according to the 5 p's (participation, pulls, production, portion control, and postproduction)
