The Food Production Supervisor role based in Los Angeles, USA (zip code 90045) is an on-site position with a salary range from $71,000 to $80,000 annually. This role is ideal for an outgoing leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and enjoys the challenge of managing a team focused on delivering high-quality products to customers. The position operates on a shift from 6 pm to 2 am with two consecutive days off. The supervisor is responsible for overseeing operations to ensure smooth workflows, adherence to government regulatory standards, and timely delivery of catering products. They will monitor employee performance and safety, conduct daily meetings, schedule labor efficiently, and enforce compliance with policies from agencies such as the FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
Additionally, this position involves providing leadership, motivating and developing staff within the company's Human Resources policies, managing productivity hours and costs, and participating in company-sponsored initiatives regarding quality, safety, and efficiency, including HACCP and Lean Manufacturing. The supervisor will also document and improve department processes, ensuring that all flights receive accurate and timely catering production. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three to five years of supervisory experience
- Food safety certification (ServSafe Manager)
- Knowledge of food production
- Strong problem solving and leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work shift 6 pm to 2 am with two consecutive days off
- Working knowledge of OSHA, GMP, FDA, USDA and EPA regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications
- Ability to multitask and manage organizational tasks effectively
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed and that all delivery times are being met timely
- Conduct daily work group meetings
- Schedule and control staff to meet labor productivity and overtime targets
- Ensure compliance with all government regulatory agencies standards such as FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, HACCP
- Document and follow up on all department processes in order to implement improvements
- Ensure on-time and accurate production and/or catering of all flights
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety regulations
- Guide, motivate and develop staff within the Human Resources policies
- Make the company's values and management principles live in the department(s)
- Manage productivity hours and costs in the area of responsibility
- Initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations
- Participate and support company sponsored initiatives such as Quality, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety and Production systems
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary
