Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven cooking or food preparation experience
  • Certification in food safety
  • Ability to follow recipes and safety guidelines accurately
  • Proficiency in handling kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Physical capability to perform manual tasks involved in kitchen work

Job Qualifications

  • Applicants must have experience in cooking or a comparable role to qualify for this position
  • Confirmed grasp of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking techniques, and compliance with food safety regulations, which include accurate food handling, cleanliness, and storage procedures
  • Fulfilling the requirements for food safety certification is crucial
  • Illustrate expertise in basic math operations and numerical counting proficiency
  • Highlights proficiency in interpersonal communication skills, including both written and verbal communication
  • The physical requirements include tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing

Job Duties

  • Being a Food Production Chef on our team will allow you to express your creativity and assist in making recipes come to life!
  • Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs
  • Cooks and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
  • Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
  • Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc
  • Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
  • Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
  • Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc
  • Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
  • Ensures security of company assets
