In this role, chefs are responsible for cooking and preparing a variety of foods according to standardized recipes and production guidelines. They set up their workstations with all necessary ingredients and equipment, prepare food items through measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling, and safely operate kitchen utensils and equipment such as ovens, stovetops, slicers, and mixers. The Food Production Chef also practices various cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming to prepare meats, vegetables, and other dishes.   • expertise in basic math operations and numerical counting proficiency
  • proficiency in interpersonal communication skills including written and verbal communication
  • ability to meet physical requirements such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing

Job Duties

  • Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
