Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a cooking or food production role
  • Food safety certification
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and safety guidelines
  • Good communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in cooking or a comparable role
  • Understanding of food preparation principles, various cooking techniques, and compliance with food safety regulations
  • Fulfillment of food safety certification requirements
  • Expertise in basic math operations and numerical counting proficiency
  • Proficiency in interpersonal communication skills, including written and verbal communication

Job Duties

  • Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
  • Safely use a variety of utensils including knives
  • Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
  • Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
  • Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
  • Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
  • Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
  • Ensure security of company assets
