Aramark is actively seeking a Food Production Chef to join their dynamic culinary team. The Food Production Chef is responsible for experimenting with various cuisines, flavors, and cooking techniques in a professional kitchen environment equipped with state-of-the-art tools and fresh ingredients. This role requires a passionate individual with a solid foundation in cooking principles and food safety regulations. The Food Production Chef will manage ingredient preparation, cooking, garnishing, and portioning tasks while adhering to sanitation standards and company policies. Tasks include using various kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, and slicers safely and efficiently. Food storage, workstation setup, and maintaining a clean and organized environment are also key responsibilities. Job Requirements

  • experience in cooking or a comparable role
  • knowledge of food safety certification
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing
  • understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation
  • strong communication skills
  • willingness to adhere to safety and cleanliness standards

Job Qualifications

  • experience in cooking or a comparable role
  • confirmed grasp of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking techniques, and compliance with food safety regulations
  • fulfillment of food safety certification requirements
  • expertise in basic math operations and numerical counting
  • proficiency in interpersonal communication skills, including written and verbal communication

Job Duties

  • cooks and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
  • safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
  • operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
  • bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
  • arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
  • properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
  • adheres to aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
  • ensures security of company assets
