Job Requirements
- food protection manager certificate or obtain within 90 days
- bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese preferred
- minimum 2 years foodservice experience preferred
- experience with elderly in community or healthcare preferred
- minimum 1 year foodservice operations leadership experience preferred
- valid BLS certification or higher required
- ability to maintain compliance with CACFP and regulatory standards
Job Qualifications
- food protection manager certificate from an ANSI-accredited training provider meeting ASTM International E2659-09 standard practice or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese preferred depending on site demographics
- minimum of 2 years foodservice experience in food preparation preferred
- experience working with elderly populations in community or healthcare settings preferred
- minimum of 1 year experience leading or managing foodservice operations preferred
- valid BLS certification or higher as per American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines
Job Duties
- coordinate all food services including breakfast, lunch, home meals, center snacks, and special events
- oversee daily duties of kitchen staff to ensure compliance with standards and regulations
- manage food receipt, storage, preparation, serving, and disposal
- maintain records for compliance with the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
- ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory guidance
- supervise food safety and quality control measures
- collaborate with community and healthcare teams for effective service delivery
