The role of a Food Prep Worker at Aramark is essential to delivering high-quality food service and maintaining strict adherence to sanitation and safety standards. This position involves preparing and portioning various food items according to production requirements and Aramark’s standardized recipes and sanitation policies. The Food Prep Worker uses daily worksheets to accurately follow prep lists and ensure consistent, fresh, and safe food production.

The responsibilities of this role include handling food properly, maintaining proper rotation to maximize freshness, and managing leftover food items with correct storage and labeling practices. Food Prep Workers are also tasked with keeping refrigerators and work areas clean and organized, sanitizing stations and kitchen equipment at the end of each shift to ensure a sanitary workspace that meets food safety regulations. Safety protocols and accident reporting procedures must be followed at all times to maintain a hazard-free environment.

This role requires physical stamina as it may involve lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing. Workers may be required to wear uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure safety and hygiene standards are upheld throughout their shift. Successful candidates for this role typically have at least one year of food service or food prep-related experience and knowledge of food handling, temperature control, proper knife use, sanitation, and basic math skills. Job Requirements

  • Minimum one-year prep work or food service-related experience preferred
