Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food preparation preferred
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as cutting, peeling, and lifting
  • strong attention to detail
  • basic math skills for inventory
  • ability to follow instructions accurately
  • good interpersonal skills
  • flexible availability including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepares prep items according to Golden Corral product specifications and recipes
  • maintains a standard inventory of prep items according to guides and updates as directed by management
  • ensures optimum yield of products through the product cycle
  • labels, dates, and rotates all bulk produce and prepped items
  • ensures all food items are in approved, covered storage containers
  • completes use and following of the buffet production system to ensure quality and shelf life compliance
  • notifies the manager of any discrepancies such as food spoilage, invoice errors, or excessive waste
  • assists the buffet attendant in maintaining a full, clean buffet
  • cleans, maintains, and organizes prep area including coolers, equipment, and dry storage
  • performs duty roster and ensures cleanliness, service, and quality standards are met
  • follows local health department laws
  • performs administrative tasks and helps guests during meal periods
