Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC, headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment, proudly operating the iconic Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade brands. The company is dedicated to creating joyful, lasting memories through fun, food, and play, making it the place Where a Kid Can Be a Kid. Chuck E. Cheese is famous for celebrating over half a million birthdays annually, providing a safe and engaging environment supported by programs such as Kid Check® to ensure the protection of families. This commitment to safety is coupled with extensive community support, having donated more than $24 million to schools and nonprofits. The company fosters a culture of diversity, inclusion, and fun, uniting families through various forms of entertainment and quality dining experiences. In 2025, Chuck E. Cheese was recognized with the "Best in STEM" award and named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces, underscoring its dedication to innovation and employee well-being.
CEC Entertainment operates nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries, supporting physical wellness and strengthening motor skills in children through play. Peter Piper Pizza offers a neighborhood pizzeria experience with quality food and engaging entertainment, emphasizing that "The Fun is Baked In." With a strong brand reputation and a supportive community-focused culture, CEC provides excellent career opportunities, especially for first-time job seekers and those looking to build an exciting career in hospitality and family entertainment industries. The company strongly promotes from within, with over 60 percent of managers having been promoted internally, emphasizing career growth and employee development.
The role of Food Prep, Cook, and Pizza Maker is essential to the success of the Chuck E. Cheese brand by helping feed the fun through the preparation of orders and food items. This is a no-fry kitchen, focusing on easy prep for pizza, salads, and wings, supporting the fast-paced, family-friendly environment. Employees in this role contribute directly to the customer experience by ensuring food quality, safety, and timely delivery. Employees enjoy a competitive hourly wage ranging between $16.00 and $18.00, with additional commission opportunities based on sales of memberships and Fun Passes, with payouts on a bi-weekly basis. CEC also supports employees with the “Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow” program that allows access to earned wages daily, reducing wait times between paychecks. The company provides flexible scheduling to support work-life balance, as well as scholarships, employee referral programs, and the CEC Cares Fund to assist employees during times of need.
The physical demands of the role require employees to handle objects weighing between 0 and 50 pounds and engage in physical activities such as standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, walking, and squatting during shifts. The work environment includes exposure to flashing lights, moving mechanical parts, and noise levels typical in a family entertainment setting. Chuck E. Cheese fosters a safe and healthy workplace, exceeding local health and sanitation standards to protect both employees and guests.
Overall, working at CEC Entertainment offers valuable job training, the chance to develop versatile skills through cross-training in various positions, and numerous benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, plus retirement savings plans. This company is a great place to start or build a career while having fun and making a meaningful impact on families and communities.
