Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment, headquartered in Irving, Texas. The company proudly operates several iconic brands, including Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade, which have become staples of fun and family bonding across the United States and internationally. With nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries, CEC Entertainment is dedicated to providing an environment where kids can be kids and families can enjoy memorable experiences filled with food, fun, and play. The company celebrates over half a million birthdays annually, emphasizing its role as a central hub for family celebrations and community events.
At Chuck E. Cheese, the workplace culture is centered around building careers in a fun and dynamic environment that values safety, inclusion, and employee growth. With a focus on internal promotion, over 60% of managers have been promoted from within the company, supporting a strong pathway for professional development. The company also emphasizes health and safety through rigorous sanitation standards and programs such as Kid Check to ensure a safe environment for guests and employees alike. Additionally, CEC Entertainment is recognized for its commitment to STEM education, community support—including donations exceeding $24 million to schools and nonprofits—and was named one of America's Greatest Workplaces, showcasing the company's dual dedication to innovation and employee well-being.
The Food Prep, Cook, and Pizza Maker roles at Chuck E. Cheese are key to delivering the brand’s promise of quality food and entertaining experiences. This position involves preparing orders and assisting with food prep in a no-fry kitchen environment, focusing on pizza, salads, and wings. It's an ideal opportunity for first-time job seekers or individuals aiming to build a lasting career in the food and entertainment industry. Employees in this role are cross-trained across various kitchen duties, empowering them to provide excellent service and develop a versatile skill set.
Pay and benefits for this position are competitive, with a unique "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program that allows employees to access earned wages quickly rather than waiting for the traditional payroll schedule. Food Prep and Pizza Makers also enjoy flexible schedules, a 50% discount on meals during shifts, scholarship opportunities, perks and discounts programs, an employee referral program, and the CEC Cares Fund, which supports employees during catastrophic events. This comprehensive benefits package underscores the company’s commitment to employee satisfaction and financial well-being.
The work environment includes physical activities such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, and squatting throughout the shift. Employees must handle job stress effectively and interact positively with guests and coworkers in a lively atmosphere with flashing lights, mechanical movement, and background noise. CEC Entertainment promotes diversity and inclusivity in its hiring practices and provides reasonable accommodations to enable employees with disabilities to perform essential job functions. The company maintains an equal opportunity employment policy and fosters a culture where different backgrounds and perspectives are valued, making it an inspiring place for individuals to grow personally and professionally while contributing to a beloved community brand.
