At CEC Entertainment, the mission is to build careers around great food, family, and fun. They offer excellent employment opportunities for both first-time job seekers and those looking to build exciting careers. The role of Food Prep, Cook, and Pizza Maker is essential in delivering the brand's promise of fantastic service and family entertainment. These positions operate in a no-fry kitchen environment, focusing on preparing orders like pizza, salads, and wings, ensuring each dish meets the high standards of quality that customers expect. The company promotes cross-training in various positions, empowering Cast Members to provide the greatest service anywhere. More than 60 percent of the management team has been promoted from within, demonstrating the company’s commitment to career growth and internal development.
Compensation for these roles includes competitive hourly wages ranging from $16.90 to $17.90, along with commission potential based on sales of memberships and Fun Passes. Commission payouts vary depending on employment status—exempt or non-exempt—and are paid bi-weekly unless otherwise required by state law. Furthermore, CEC Entertainment offers a unique "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program that allows employees to access their earned wages promptly, providing financial flexibility and support.
The company values an energetic and enthusiastic personality, excellent customer service skills, and availability to work various shifts. The physical demands include the ability to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and to perform activities such as standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, walking, and squatting during shifts. The work environment involves exposure to flashing lights, loud noises, and moving mechanical parts, which are common in a lively entertainment venue. CEC Entertainment also emphasizes rigorous health and sanitation standards to ensure the safety and well-being of both guests and employees.
Benefits offered by the company are comprehensive and include medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan for eligible U.S. employees. Additional perks include a 50 percent meal discount during shifts, flexible schedules, scholarship opportunities, employee referral programs, and the CEC Cares Fund, which supports employees in times of catastrophic need. The company fosters an inclusive culture, welcoming diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, and operates as an Equal Opportunity Employer with strong commitments to diversity and inclusion.
