Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC, headquartered in Irving, Texas, is an industry-leading family dining and entertainment company recognized nationally for its iconic entertainment brands including Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade. With nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries, CEC celebrates over half a million birthdays annually. The company’s commitment to creating joyful, lasting memories for kids and families is manifested through its emphasis on fun, food, and play in a safe environment. CEC Entertainment is also notable for its community contributions, having donated more than $24 million to schools and nonprofits, and for promoting innovation and employee well-being, as evidenced by receiving the "Best in STEM" award and recognition as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces in 2025.
CEC Entertainment fosters a culture of diversity, inclusion, and belonging, ensuring that the workforce mirrors the diverse communities they serve. The firm strongly supports safety, health, and sanitation measures that both protect guests and employees. Its operational procedures consistently meet or exceed local health requirements, reassuring families that the environment is safe and enjoyable. The company is an equal opportunity employer committed to fair hiring practices regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, veteran status, or disability, among other protected classes.
The role available at Chuck E. Cheese is for positions in food preparation including Food Prep, Cook, and Pizza Maker roles within their no-fry kitchen environment. These roles are ideal for individuals looking for their first job or those interested in advancing their careers within a supportive and dynamic entertainment restaurant setting. Cast Members at CEC are cross-trained in multiple positions, empowering them to provide exceptional service in a fun, fast-paced environment. This culture of internal growth is reflected in the fact that over 60% of Chuck E. Cheese managers were promoted from within.
Kitchen Prep and Pizza Makers at Chuck E. Cheese assist in preparing food orders, focusing on easy-prep items such as pizzas, salads, and wings. This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic approach to delivering outstanding customer experiences in a lively setting filled with interactive play areas, games, and entertainment. The job expects employees to engage actively with guests, adapt to physical duties including standing, bending, lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and managing work stress effectively. The work environment includes exposure to flickering lights, moving mechanical parts, and loud noises that are characteristic of family entertainment centers.
Compensation for these roles includes commission potentials that vary based on whether the employment is classified as exempt or non-exempt, with commissions paid bi-weekly. Additionally, Chuck E. Cheese offers a pioneering "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program that provides eligible employees access to earned wages without waiting for standard payday cycles. Benefits include competitive pay, flexible schedules, a 50% meal discount during shifts, scholarship opportunities, employee referral programs, perks and discounts, and the CEC Cares Fund to support employees during catastrophic events.
Overall, CEC Entertainment provides a vibrant work atmosphere for motivated individuals eager to join a nationally renowned, family-focused brand that values career advancement, inclusiveness, and employee well-being. Employees gain valuable skills and can find long-term career paths within an organization that champions fun and family-centered entertainment.
