Job Description
Rock City Gardens is a unique and captivating natural attraction renowned for its stunning panoramic views, ancient rock formations, and beautifully maintained gardens. Situated as a premier destination, it welcomes guests from around the world who come to explore its scenic trails, experience breathtaking natural wonders, and engage in an immersive outdoor adventure. As a company committed to delivering exceptional experiences, Rock City Gardens fosters a Culture of Excellence, emphasizing courage, care, wonder, and excellence as its guiding principles. The establishment offers a blend of entertainment, education, and hospitality, making it a cherished landmark and a vibrant community hub for visitors and locals alike. The team at Rock City Gardens is dedicated to enriching lives through wonder and connection, creating memorable moments and lasting impressions for all guests who visit.
The Food & Beverage Partner position at Rock City Gardens is a critical role within the organization's hospitality team. This role serves as the frontline ambassador, responsible for delivering outstanding dining experiences that complement the guests' visits to the gardens. The Food & Beverage Partner supports daily food operations by preparing and serving an array of menu items ranging from quick snacks to full meals, ensuring quality, taste, and presentation align with the company's high standards. With an emphasis on excellent guest service, this role involves active engagement with visitors, promoting menu items, and contributing to overall sales growth through effective upselling techniques.
Operating across various food and beverage locations within the gardens, the partner manages essential operational tasks such as handling cash registers, Point-of-Sale (POS) system operations including opening and closing duties, and ensuring accurate daily deposits. Food safety and sanitation are paramount, requiring adherence to health codes, proper food temperature monitoring, and maintaining cleanliness throughout dining and prep areas. Organizational skills are essential to keep workspaces stocked, clean, and efficient while minimizing waste and preserving portion control. Collaborative teamwork is encouraged, with partners expected to work closely together to streamline operations and maintain a supportive work environment. Candidates need to exhibit flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events, responding to the dynamic needs of the business.
This full-time role offers prospects for those passionate about food service and guest relations, providing opportunities for training, skill development, and career advancement. While previous food service experience is preferred, it is not mandatory, as training is available to develop expertise including obtaining ServSafe Food Handler Certification. The position requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and engage in extended periods of standing, walking, and other physical activities typical in fast-paced hospitality settings. Effective communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a strong commitment to the company’s values are essential for success in this enriching and dynamic role.
