Job Requirements

  • Regularly work at SUN Site Schools and their communities as needed
  • Reliable car, driver’s license, and automobile liability insurance
  • Eligible to be an insured driver under Latino Network’s Commercial Auto Liability
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and walking
  • Undergo and pass a criminal background check
  • Ability to communicate professionally with clients and diverse communities
  • Follow directions effectively and work independently

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years relevant experience preferably in non-profit emergency assistance or community outreach
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Word, and Excel

Job Duties

  • Understand and adhere to food safety guidelines and partner with the Oregon Food Bank
  • Place food orders for SUN School Food Pantries
  • Identify and establish new sources of food donations and accept them
  • Order and accept food delivery from various places
  • Organize pantry items: stock shelves, maintain inventory and standards
  • Recruit, train, and organize volunteer teams for setup and distribution
  • Ensure compliance with food handling, storage, and distribution standards
