Job Description
Sodexo is a global leader in food services and facilities management, committed to improving the quality of life for individuals and communities worldwide. With a focus on providing integrated solutions, Sodexo partners with K-12 schools to foster healthy learning environments that enhance student well-being and academic performance. Sodexo's collaboration with Deer Creek Public Schools, located in Edmond, Oklahoma, exemplifies its dedication to serving dynamic and growing educational districts. Deer Creek is a fast-growing school district with plans to open multiple new schools over the coming years, providing an exciting opportunity for career advancement within a supportive and innovative environment.
The Food Operations Manager 3 role at Sodexo within Deer Creek Public Schools is a full-time position focused on overseeing daily cafeteria operations across more than ten schools. This role is vital in implementing and managing the National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs (NSBP and NSLP), ensuring compliance with USDA standards and Sodexo’s quality benchmarks. Reporting directly to the District Manager, the Food Operations Manager will lead a team of approximately 50 employees, fostering a positive workplace culture while maintaining high standards for food safety, sanitation, and customer service.
This position requires a strategic mindset and strong leadership capabilities to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and customers, employee training and development initiatives, and assist with marketing and strategic planning efforts. The Food Operations Manager is instrumental in creating an environment that supports student success by delivering nutritious, high-quality meals in an efficient and welcoming setting. Sodexo offers competitive compensation reflective of education, skills, and experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that includes health and wellness programs, retirement plans with employer matching, paid time off, and career development opportunities.
Joining Sodexo means becoming part of a company committed to diversity and inclusion, where every employee is valued and respected. Employees are encouraged to be themselves, contribute ideas, and thrive in an engaging and collaborative workspace. Sodexo embraces equal employment opportunities regardless of race, religion, gender, age, disability, or any other protected status, fostering an equitable and supportive workplace. This position is an excellent fit for professionals with experience in food service management, particularly within K-12 educational settings, who are passionate about making a positive impact on student health and community well-being.
