The Food Operations Manager role at Sodexo Corporate Services in Memphis, TN, offers a unique opportunity to lead operations for a high-profile corporate hospitality account. This position is designed for a hospitality-driven leader who thrives on crafting exceptional guest experiences and elevating the standards of service within workplace environments. The role demands an individual with a concierge mindset who can anticipate guests’ needs, create memorable service moments, and manage multiple food and hospitality platforms harmoniously. The Food Operations Manager will oversee daily operations across a vibrant food hall serving employees and guests, catering services ranging from routine meetings to prestigious executive events, as well as pantry programs across various office spaces.
This role involves a balanced schedule primarily from Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., with occasional evening shifts and no weekend work, fostering a desirable work-life balance. As the manager, you will deliver warm, concierge-level hospitality experiences, ensuring front-of-house operations maintain an inviting and seamless atmosphere. You will take charge of the digital ordering program, known as the Everyday App, and manage digital signage that promotes events and communicates with guests effectively. Collaboration with the client to plan and execute high-quality catering events is a major facet of the role, alongside leading and coaching on-site staff to uphold operational excellence. The position also includes oversight of pantry ordering and working closely with the Executive Chef on café purchasing decisions. Beyond daily management, you will support ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall guest service experience, demonstrating a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Compensation for the Food Operations Manager role at Sodexo is competitive and equitable, reflecting an individual’s education, skills, and relevant experience. Alongside a fair salary, Sodexo offers an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, vision care, wellness programs, 401(k) with matching contributions, paid time off, company holidays, and opportunities for career advancement and tuition reimbursement. Sodexo values its employees and ensures that each team member is treated with fairness and respect, contributing to a fulfilling and positive workplace culture.
