The director regularly monitors profit and loss reports and coordinates resource allocation to balance quality and cost control while meeting labor and food service expectations.

Operational productivity is a core priority, requiring adherence to Aramark’s labor and culinary initiatives, cost containment strategies, and compliance with operational excellence fundamentals. This includes supervising production, distribution, and serving processes within food services and maintaining compliance with regulatory and organizational safety standards.

Moreover, the director develops and maintains comprehensive systems for acquiring, preparing, and distributing food, forecasting operational needs, conducting inventory verifications, and managing accounting functions related to food services. They act as a liaison between clients and Aramark teams to nurture positive relationships and collaborate on contract negotiations and sales processes.

Job Requirements

  • At least four years of relevant work experience
  • One to three years of experience leading teams
  • Proven track record in food service
  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable hands-on experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive client and customer relationships
  • Competency in providing customer service in accordance with Aramark standards
  • Ability to maintain strong collaboration with various departments
  • Capability to handle intermittent manual tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods
