The Food Manager position at Northgate Resorts plays a crucial role in delivering a memorable dining experience for guests across multiple on-site food and beverage outlets within their camp-resort locations. This is a full-time management role reporting directly to the Assistant General Manager. The Food Manager is responsible for the operational excellence of dining services, including managing team members, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, and driving revenue growth through effective budget oversight and marketing initiatives.

This leadership position requires a candidate with strong skills in personnel management, marketing, and revenue optimization. The Food Manager will lead, hire, train, and develop a team to maintain superior customer service standards and operational efficiency. Strategic thinking is vital for creating marketing campaigns that connect with the local community and promote the camp-resort's dining options innovatively. Additionally, the Food Manager oversees inventory, purchasing, and financial performance to align with established budgets and sales targets.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in food service management or equivalent
  • bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business administration or equivalent preferred
  • state required certifications or ability to obtain upon hire
  • ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
  • required to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • work with minimal supervision
  • maintain positive work environment through effective communication
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks associated with food service
  • occasional exposure to hot equipment and warm temperatures

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • respond to guest inquiries using service recovery guidelines
  • utilize and learn reservation system for daily planning
  • participate in projects and activities as assigned
