Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior cooking or kitchen experience required
- must be able to obtain food safety certification
- ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines
- strong attention to hygiene and cleanliness
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- physical capability to handle lifting, standing, and repetitive tasks
Job Qualifications
- experience as a cook or in a related role required
- validated knowledge of food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
- ability to acquire food safety certification
- basic math and counting skills
- effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- ability to perform physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing
Job Duties
- prepare and cook a selection of foods based on production guidelines and standardized recipes
- establish the work area with all needed tools and ingredients
- measure, weigh, mix, chop, trim, and peel food items for cooking preparation
- safely use a variety of utensils including knives
- manage tools such as ovens, stovetops, cutting appliances, blenders, and similar items
- apply cooking techniques such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming to prepare ingredients
- order, embellish, and allocate food according to established rules
- store food complying with safety regulations and procedures
- clean and sterilize work environments, equipment, and tools
- maintain a strong focus on customer service and display a welcoming attitude
- ensure strict adherence to safety policies and food sanitation standards
- preserve confidentiality of company belongings
