As a company, Sodexo values diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring a respectful workplace where all employees feel welcomed, heard, and appreciated. Their commitment extends beyond service to include fostering sustainable growth and contributing to the social and environmental progress of communities across the globe. This specific position is based at East Texas A&M University, part of Sodexo’s extensive client partnerships, focusing on delivering quality food service in an educational setting.
The Food Lead Worker role at Sodexo is integral to maintaining high standards in food preparation and service within various on-site food locations. This full-time position has a pay range of $13 to $17 per hour, offering excellent opportunities for those who thrive in dynamic, customer-centered environments. The role demands a team-oriented individual who can combine leadership and hands-on responsibilities to supervise food operations while also engaging directly with customers to ensure their satisfaction. The Food Lead Worker acts as a motivational figure among peers, helping to cultivate a safe and healthy workplace.
In this role, you will be expected to coordinate the activities of workers or service employees engaged in food service operations. This oversight includes ensuring quality, customer service excellence, and efficient problem resolution. You will perform supervisory duties along with day-to-day tasks such as preparing and serving food, ensuring food safety protocols, and maintaining cleanliness in your area of responsibility. Additionally, you will be the frontline representative for customer interactions, making sure that all patrons receive courteous service and have their needs addressed promptly.
Sodexo provides a flexible and supportive work environment that respects work-life balance, enabling employees to manage their personal commitments alongside their professional responsibilities. The company offers comprehensive benefits, including paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, and vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, 401k plans, discount programs, and more. Site-specific perks such as free meals, uniforms, safety shoes, and transportation support may also be available. This role offers continuous training and advancement opportunities that help turn a job into a rewarding career.
