We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Food Expediter to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role serves as the bridge between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and presented accurately, promptly, and according to our exacting standards. The Food Expediter acts as a critical quality control checkpoint, guaranteeing that every order meets our guests' expectations and adheres to menu descriptions and allergy considerations. This position demands a high level of organization, effective communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a lively and fast-paced environment.

As a Food Expediter, you will not only contribute to enhancing guest satisfaction but also support team synergy by working closely with both back-of-house and front-of-house teams. You will be responsible for managing ticket times, coordinating food runners, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitary conditions within your work area. Your role is essential in delivering seamless service by promptly addressing any issues, upholding safety standards, and fostering an enjoyable atmosphere for both guests and colleagues alike. Job Qualifications

  • Support both front and back of house functions as needed
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team
  • Effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess basic reading skills
  • Must be at least 18 years of age as dictated by state law

Job Duties

  • Ensure every guest receives their food hot and as described on the menu
  • Maintain punctuality and uniform standards
  • Greet guests with a friendly demeanor within five feet
  • Uphold high service standards to create 'Ale House Raving Fans'
  • Collaborate with both BOH and FOH team members to fulfill guest needs efficiently
  • Communicate guest requests between FOH and BOH teams
  • Maintain comprehensive menu knowledge to assist with food allergy inquiries
  • Ensure each dish is presented perfectly and adheres to recipe specifications
  • Call for food runners to guarantee timely service
  • Drive ticket times while ensuring safe food handling and sanitation
  • Report any potential guest issues or delays to management
  • Keep work areas clean and organized, including performing necessary cleaning duties
  • Assist in preparing team members for success during shift changes
  • Promptly notify management of any issues that arise
  • Practice proper handwashing every 30 minutes
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas
  • Collaborate with team members to uphold safety protocols
