Job Description
Our company is a respected and reliable distributor specializing in providing high-quality food products to a wide range of restaurants and retail outlets. Based in Gibbstown, NJ, we pride ourselves on our efficient and dependable local delivery services that ensure our clients receive their products on time and in excellent condition. With a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and safety, we operate a fleet of vehicles maintained to the highest standards and staffed by professional drivers who are integral to our success in the competitive food distribution industry.
We are currently looking for a dependable and hardworking Class B Delivery Truck Driver to join our dedicated team. This position offers a local delivery role within a supportive and dynamic environment where you will be responsible for transporting and delivering food products to various restaurants and retail customers in and around the Gibbstown area. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy being on the road but prefer to return home daily, as the delivery schedule is local and consistent, running Monday through Friday.
As a Class B Delivery Truck Driver, you will pick up a pre-loaded truck each day and follow a scheduled delivery route that typically includes 5 to 13 stops, depending on the specific route assigned. You will be responsible for unloading freight efficiently using equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and liftgates, and you must be prepared to handle physical deliveries that may involve carrying products to basement or upstairs locations. A key part of the role is to maintain excellent customer service when interacting with delivery contacts, ensuring that every delivery is completed professionally and courteously.
The position begins early each morning at 4:00 AM and continues until all deliveries are completed, which usually falls within a 10 to 13-hour workday. Occasionally, extended hours may be required based on route needs, with an average weekly workload of 50 to 55 hours. We offer competitive compensation starting at $25.75 per hour, with overtime pay available after 40 hours weekly. This often results in an average weekly earning range of $1350 to $1550, making it an attractive option for drivers seeking consistent work and income.
Our company also provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as retirement savings plans through IRA options. We believe in supporting our employees' well-being, offering stable scheduling and a workplace that values safety and respect. If you have a valid Class B CDL license and a clean driving record, along with the physical stamina to handle freight delivery duties, this could be an excellent opportunity for you to advance your career with a trusted food product distributor in Gibbstown, NJ.
