Job Description

Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows (BGCTM) is a respected community organization dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for young people. As part of the larger Boys & Girls Clubs of America network, BGCTM focuses on empowering youth through various educational and recreational programs that promote healthy development and positive life choices. The organization prides itself on maintaining high standards of safety, nutrition, and community service, ensuring that every member has an optimal club experience. With multiple sites across the Truckee Meadows area, BGCTM offers a range of activities and services designed to engage youth and support families in the community.

The Food Delivery Driver position at Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows plays a vital role within the Food Services Department, directly supporting the nutritional and operational needs of all club sites. Reporting to the Director of Food Services, the driver is entrusted with the responsibility of safely delivering prepared food items, supplies, and equipment between various club locations as assigned by the route schedule. This role ensures timely, efficient, and hygienic transport of food which is essential for meeting federal, state, and local safety standards, as well as BGCTM's internal policies.

In addition to driving and delivery duties, the Food Delivery Driver collaborates closely with kitchen staff to confirm that all foods are at proper temperatures and correctly wrapped for transportation to maintain freshness and safety. The role also includes assisting with loading and unloading deliveries, participating in vehicle maintenance, and supporting other departments such as Transportation and Facilities when needed. The position demands a dependable, adaptable individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment, maintaining cleanliness and organization at all times.

Candidates must meet specific insurance requirements, including being at least 21 years old and possessing a clean driving record. A valid state driver’s license is mandatory to perform this role. BGCTM provides comprehensive training post-hire, covering safety skills, CPR/First Aid, and operational protocols to ensure all employees are prepared to contribute meaningfully to the organization's mission. ServSafe Food Handler Certification is required or must be obtained within 90 days of employment to comply with food safety regulations.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy driving, have a strong sense of responsibility, and want to make a positive impact in their community by supporting youth through nutrition and safe food service practices. It is ideal for candidates who take pride in their work, are committed to safety and cleanliness, and who thrive in teamwork-oriented roles. Working as a Food Delivery Driver at BGCTM offers a meaningful way to support the organization's commitment to youth development while gaining valuable experience in food service logistics and delivery operations.
