The Food & Beverage Purchasing Manager role at Back A Yard Caribbean Grill is an essential leadership position responsible for managing the procurement process across all restaurant locations. Job Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or merchandise/financial planning
  • Bachelor's degree in business, purchasing, supply chain, or a related field is a plus
  • Effective communication skills with suppliers and employees at all levels
  • Strong negotiation skills to maximize prices and deals
  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Ability to plan and organize work efficiently
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with suppliers, customers, and employees

Job Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or merchandise/financial planning

Job Duties

  • Secure products and services at the best possible pricing without compromising on quality or service
  • Consolidate purchases to achieve maximum economic benefit
  • Forge close relationships with management and staff across the restaurants
  • Liaise between suppliers and restaurants to ensure their needs are being met
  • Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers
  • Negotiate and agree contracts, monitoring the quality of service and product provided
  • Produce reports and statistics on spending and saving
  • Ensure the company purchasing systems are up to date with products and pricing to facilitate its smooth operation at the restaurant level
